What our customers think

“We visited the Oarsman several times during our brief stay in the area, and have to say it was a wonderful experience each time. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful (even helping us find somewhere to eat on their non opening days), and on our first visit even managed to fit our party of 8 in despite the place being busy. On each visit the food was excellent – in particular our sirloin steaks were cooked to perfection, and the starters we had were imaginative and beautifully presented. It didnt feel over priced compared to some other places we ate in Ireland, but the service and food really set it apart. Thoroughly recommended.”

“We were fortunate to get the last unreserved table in The Oarsman during a stay in Carrick. My husband had the fish chowder which he thought was the best he had during a 3 week stay in Ireland. The food was well cooked, well presented and the service was very good.

We were a party of 3 adults and we all really enjoyed our meal. I can heartily recommend this restaurant but i would advise you to book a table as it is very popular”
